The judicial district of Kufstein is a judicial district in the state of Tyrol which is subordinate to the District Court of Kufstein . Along with the judicial district of Rattenberg, it is one of two judicial districts in the political district of Kufstein .

history

The Kufstein judicial district was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 25 communities Angath , Bromberg , Buchberg , Ebbs , Ebbserberg , Ellmau , Erl , Häring , Hauming , Kirchbichl , Kufstein , Langkampfen , Mariastein , Niederndorf , Pirchmoos , Rettenschöß , Riesen , Scheffau , Schwoich , Stockach , Thierberg , Thiersee , Walchsee , Weissach and Wörgl-Kufstein .

The area of the judicial district of Kufstein was combined with the judicial district of Rattenberg to form the political district of Kufstein in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 .

The area of the Kufstein judicial district has remained almost unchanged since it was founded. In 1900, the judicial district covered an area of 493.50 km², in 2010 it was only a slightly larger area of 498.26 km², whereby Kufstein had been added to the cadastral community of Rattenberg-Wörgl by the judicial district of Rattenberg on June 1, 1924.

In 2012, in the course of budget savings, the Ministry of Justice's request to add the judicial district of Rattenberg to the judicial district of Kufstein became public.
