The judicial district of Trento was a judicial district in the Fürstete Grafschaft Tirol, subordinate to the District Court of Trento . The judicial district in Trentino belonged to the district of Trento and included the city of Trento and its surrounding area. After the First World War , Austria had to cede the entire judicial district to Italy .

history

The judicial district of Trento was created through a proclamation of the Provincial Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the eleven municipalities of Cognola , Gardolo , Mattarello , Montevaccino , Povo , Ravina , Romagnano , Sardagna , Trient , Vigolo Vattaro and Villamontagna .

The judicial district of Trento made political from judicial administration from 1868 together with the jurisdictions during the separation Cembra , Civezzano , Lavis and Mezzolombardo , Pergine and Vezzano the district Trento . However, the judicial district of Mezzolombardo later gained its independence as a separate district.

The judicial district of Trento had a population of 30,154 in 1869. In 1910 44,441 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 2,864 stated German (6.4%) and 38,280 Italian or Ladin (86.1%) as the colloquial language. The German-speaking minority concentrated almost exclusively on Trento in 1910.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of Trento was completely slammed into Italy.

In 1910 the court district comprised the ten municipalities of Cognola , Gardolo , Mattarello , Povo , Ravina , Romagnano , Sardagna , Trient , Vigolo Vattaro and Villazzano .
