history

The judicial district of Arco was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the five municipalities of Arco , Drena , Dro , Oltresarca and Romarzollo .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Arco together with the judicial district of Riva formed the district of Riva . The Arco judicial district had a population of 9,304 in 1869.

In 1910, 12,822 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 510 stated German (4.0%) and 11,380 Italian or Ladin (88.8%) as the colloquial language. The German-speaking minority concentrated on the municipality of Arco, where 92% of the German-speaking population lived.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of Arco was completely slammed into Italy.
