The judicial district of Lienz is the District Court Lienz under standing judicial district in the political district of Lienz (State Tirol ). Since July 1, 2002, the judicial district of Lienz has included the entire political district of Lienz.

history

The judicial district of Lienz was created through a proclamation of the state court introductory commission and originally comprised the 42 communities Ainet , Alkus , Amlach , Anras , Asch , Asling , Bannberg , Burg and Vergein , Dölsach , Dörfla , Glanz , Gödnach , Göriach , Görtschach , Gwabl , Iselsberg , costs , Lavant , Leisach , Lengberg , Lienz , Nikolsdorf , Nörsach , Nußdorf , Oberasling , Oberdrum , Obergaimberg , Oberlienz , Obernußdorf , Oberried , Patriasdorf , Penzendorf , Schlaiten , Schrottendorf , St. Johann im Walde , Stribach , Stronach , Thal , Thurn , Tristach , Unterried and Winkel .

The judicial district of Lienz formed political from judicial administration from 1868 together with the course of the separation jurisdictions Sillian and Windisch-Matrey the Lienz district .

After the end of the First World War, Austria had to cede numerous municipalities in the Sillian judicial district to Italy through the Treaty of Saint-Germain in 1919 , which greatly reduced the size of the judicial district. With the ordinance of the federal government of March 29, 1923, the Sillian judicial district was subsequently dissolved and the municipalities remaining with Austria were added to the Lienz judicial district. According to the original plan, the Sillian District Court had to cease its activities on March 31, 1923 and the Lienz District Court to take over jurisdiction over this area on June 1, 1923. In the end, however, this change did not take place until September 30, 1925 or October 1, 1925. As of October 1, 1925, the judicial district of Lienz was added to the municipalities of Abfaltersbach , Arnbach , utservillgraten , Hollbruck , Innervillgraten , Kartitsch , Obertilliach , Panzendorf , Sillian , Sillianberg , Strassen , Tessenberg and Untertilliach are added to the judicial district of Lienz.

In the course of the further dissolution of the district courts, the judicial district of Matrei in East Tyrol (formerly Windisch-Matrei) was dissolved on July 1, 2002 and the area was assigned to the judicial district of Lienz. The judicial district of Lienz was expanded to include the communities of Hopfgarten in Defereggen , Kals am Großglockner , Matrei in Osttirol , Prägraten am Großvenediger , St. Jakob in Defereggen , St. Veit in Defereggen and Virgen .

After the dissolution of the judicial district of Matrei in East Tyrol and Sillian, the court district encompasses the entire political district of Lienz and, after numerous amalgamations , the 33 communities of Abfaltersbach , Ainet , Amlach , Anras , Assling , Ausservillgraten , Dölsach , Gaimberg , Heinfels , Hopfgarten in Defereggen , Innervillgraten , Iselsberg -Stronach , Kals am Großglockner , Kartitsch , Lavant , Leisach , Lienz , Matrei in Osttirol , Nikolsdorf , Nußdorf-Debant , Oberlienz , Obertilliach , Prägraten am Großvenediger , St. Jakob in Defereggen , St. Johann im Walde , St. Veit in Defereggen , Schlaiten , Sillian , Strassen , Thurn , Tristach , Untertilliach and Virgen .
