After the First World War , Austria had to cede the entire judicial district to Italy .

history

The judicial district of Borgo was created by a proclamation of the Provincial Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the nine municipalities of Borgo , Carzano , Castelnuovo , Novaledo , Roncegno , Ronchi , Telve , Telve di sopra and Torcegno .

The judicial district of Borgo formed the district of Borgo together with the judicial districts of Levico and Strigno in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 . The judicial district of Borgo had a population of 15,840 in 1869.

In 1910, 14,754 people were expelled from the judicial district, of which 284 stated German (1.9%) and 14,292 Italian or Ladin (96.9%) as the colloquial language. The German-speaking minority lived almost exclusively in Borgo.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of Borgo was completely slammed into Italy.
