District Court Schwaz

The judicial district of Schwaz is the District Court Schwaz under standing judicial district in the state of Tyrol . Along with the judicial district of Zell am Ziller, it is one of two judicial districts in the political district of Schwaz.

history

The judicial district of Schwaz was created by a proclamation made by the State Court Introductory Commission in 1849 and originally comprised the 13 communities of Achenthal , Buch , Eben , Gallzein , Jenbach , Pill , Schwaz , Stans , Straß , Vomp , Weer , Weerberg and Wiesing .

In the course of the separation of the political and judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Schwaz, together with the judicial districts of Fügen and Zell, formed the district of Schwaz .

The Schwaz judicial district underwent a change in 1928 after the municipality of Terfens left the Hall judicial district and was assigned to the Schwaz judicial district on April 1, 1928.

The National Socialist administrative reform led to an enlargement of the judicial district in the long term. With the “Ordinance of the Governor of October 15, 1938 on the division of the State of Tyrol into administrative districts”, the “Administrative District Schwaz” (later “District Schwaz”) was made up of the previous District of Schwaz and the municipalities of Kolsaß and Kolsaßberg (previously District Innsbruck-Land or judicial district Solbald Hall ) as well as Bruck am Ziller and Steinberg am Rofan (previously district Kufstein and judicial district Rattenberg ).

After the Second World War , the communities Kolsaß and Kolsaßberg became part of the Innsbruck Umgebung district again on January 1, 1948, but Bruck am Ziller and Steinberg am Rofan remained part of the judicial district of Rattenberg in the political district of Schwaz.

In order to bring the judicial district boundaries back in line with the political boundaries, the judicial district Schwaz took over the municipalities of Bruck am Ziller and Steinberg am Rofan from the judicial district Rattenberg on July 1, 1970 . The area of the judicial district of Schwaz increased from 682.45 km² to 756.38 km² (2010).
