The judicial district Lana was the District Court Lana under standing judicial district in the princely county of Tyrol . The judicial district included the northern Adige Valley and the Ulten Valley and belonged to the Meran district . After the First World War , Austria had to cede the entire judicial district to Italy .
history
The judicial district of Lana was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the seven communities Andrian , Forst , Lana , Marling , Nals , Tisens and Ulten .
In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Lana, together with the judicial districts of Meran , Glurns , Schlanders and Passeier, formed the district of Merano , with the judicial districts of Schlanders and Glurns being split off as an independent district of Schlanders from October 1, 1901 .
The judicial district had a population of 11,077 in 1869. In 1910, 12,162 people were expelled from the judicial district, 11,817 of whom stated German (97.2%) and 162 Italian or Ladin (1.3%) as the colloquial language.
Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain , which was concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of Lana was completely slammed into Italy.
Courthouse
In 1910, the court district comprised the seven communities of Andrian , Lana , Nals , Tisens , Tscherms , Ulten and Völlan . The division of the municipality of Marling into two new municipalities, namely Marling and Tscherms, was finally approved by the emperor in 1897, with Marling being assigned to the judicial district of Merano on January 1, 1910.
