The judicial district Ried in Tirol (until 1895 judicial district Ried ) was a judicial district subordinate to the district court Ried in Tirol in the political district of Landeck (state of Tyrol ). The judicial district was closed on January 1, 1978 and the associated area was added to the Landeck judicial district.

history

The judicial district of Ried was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission from 1849 and originally comprised the eleven communities Faggen , Fendels , Fiß , Kauns , Kaunserberg , Kaunserthal , Ladis , Prutz , Ried , Serfaus and Tösens .

In the course of the separation of the political and judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Ried, together with the judicial districts of Landeck and Nauders, formed the district of Landeck .

In 1895 the judicial district of Ried was renamed "Judicial district Ried in Tirol".

After the end of the First World War, Austria had to cede several municipalities of the Nauders judicial district to Italy by the Treaty of Saint-Germain in 1919 , which greatly reduced the size of the Nauders judicial district. With the ordinance of the Ministry of Justice of November 29, 1920, the judicial district Nauders was dissolved and the three municipalities Nauders , Pfunds and Spiß, which remained with Austria, were added to the judicial district of Ried in Tyrol. The ordinance came into force on January 1, 1921.
