Vigolo Vattaro (German outdated: Walzburg ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Altopiano della Vigolana and was an independent municipality in Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol until 2015 .
geography
Vigolo Vattaro is located on the Vigolana plateau, about 8 kilometers from Trento and 3 kilometers from Lake Caldonazzo at an altitude of 725 mslm. The municipality belonged to the Alta Valsugana e Bersntol community . The neighboring communities were Pergine Valsugana , Bosentino and Besenello .
history
On January 1, 2016, Vigolo Vattaro merged with the municipalities of Bosentino, Centa San Nicolò and Vattaro to form the new municipality of Altopiano della Vigolana.
Parish partnership
Since 2013 there has been a community partnership with Theilheim in Lower Franconia . Theilheim and Vigolo Vattaro also carry out EU projects.
