Briana Banks
Briana Banks (born May 21, 1978 in Munich as Briana Bany ) is a German - American porn actress and also known under the name Mirage . The stage name is intentionally pronounced like “Briana bangs” (Briana bangs).
Life
At the age of four she moved to London with her parents, an American mother and a German father . After a couple of years they moved on. Briana first worked as an insurance agent , then as a photo model for teenage clothing. Eventually she came to Simi Valley , Los Angeles . Allegedly, she didn't want to appear in films, she just wanted to pose for magazines. At the beginning of 1999 she started working in the porn business under the stage name Mirage.
In mid-2000, the brunette dyed her hair blonde and had her breasts enlarged in order to have greater chances of success in the porn business. From now on she called herself Briana Banks.
In 2001 she won the “Best American New Starlet” award at the Hot d'or in Cannes , the best newcomer of the year in the American porn industry. In June 2001 it was named "Pet of the Month" by the men's magazine Penthouse . Around the same time, she signed with Vivid Video , which also has porn stars like Devon , Chasey Lain , Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson under contract.
In 2003 she won both top-selling and best-selling video awards for her film Briana Loves Jenna at the AVN Awards . This made her film one of the most successful films in the porn industry in 2002. In 2004, Briana Banks was portrayed as one of 30 famous porn stars by American photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders in his book XXX: 30 Porn-Star Portraits and his HBO documentary Thinking XXX .
