Bridge of Dragons (Original title: Bridge of Dragons ) is an American end times - thriller from 1999 with Dolph Lundgren in the lead role of the national hero Warchild. The film directed by Isaac Florentine was shot mainly in Bulgaria .

The highly decorated soldier Warchild takes part in a battle waged against the Soviet Union with nuclear weapons . After a major nuclear war , the US economy collapses. The law of the fittest now rules here. The unscrupulous General Ruechang has usurped the rule and rules with anarchy and manslaughter. Warchild is under his command.
Ruechang wants to marry Princess Halo so that he can take the throne. Halo discovered that Ruechang had killed her father, the king, and was trying to escape from Ruechang. Warchild captured Halo and brought it to Ruechang. When Ruechang struck Halo, Warchild struck Ruechang. Using a helicopter, Warchild escapes the clutches of Ruechang with Halo. They came to a rebel camp. Ruechang then set up a brutal killer brigade on the refugees. A helicopter discovered the camp and attacked the rebels with Ruechang and his soldiers.
Halo promises to marry Ruechang to save Warchild's life. Ruechang had Warchild killed in secret. Warchild and his friend Emmerich fake his death.
At Halo and Ruechang's wedding, Halo tries to kill himself and Ruechang with the wine. Warchild managed to prevent it at the last moment.
Warchild kills the brutal dictator in a duel and saves Halo.
Reviews
Fight of the Dragon can be classified as a B-action film in terms of effort and budget . What many critics still complain about is the poor staging of the film. In a review of the online mail order company amazon.com , for example, it was criticized that stunt people would fall to the ground in an uncoordinated manner, extras are obviously looking for stage directions, editing sequences seem inconclusive and action segments do not result in a unity.
According to the judgment of the television magazine TV Spielfilm , the film is nothing more than a “violent orgy of violence” , the online film database speaks of a “hyper-naive B-action fairy tale, which does not stand out as a highlight in either Isaac Florentine or Dolph Lundgren's filmography " . The lexicon of international films sees it similarly : "['Fight of the Dragon' is an] action film with almost non-stop fighting as a vehicle for Dolph Lundgren, who does not need to demonstrate any acting skills, but has settled in his beating corner."
