Verena

In a certain phase of her life, Verena's writing became "an irresistible temptation, even an inner compulsion [...] to put on paper what was felt as urgent or urgent," despite the work-related workload. The eruptive notated in a few free hours and sleep-reducing night shifts was consequently limited to the bare essentials, the "absolutely worth communicating", which resulted in a concise style that tended to be sketchy. She saw this time limit as having the advantage of "being saved from the superfluous". Claus Hammel wrote to Verena on Sunday : “The suspicion that the story is actually a costumed essay on its own account is obvious.” What Thurm lets the reader be part of is a “reflection on existence, profession and responsibility, like the artist and May haunt writers from time to time ”. He recognized the urgency of the author: "I had the impression of a text that was written very quickly, hurried by for long stretches without any design, presented pure material and hurried from one point to the next in order not to lose it, and so on."
