The Bruchmühle is a former mill in the municipality of Mühltal in the Hessian district of Darmstadt-Dieburg on the western edge of the Odenwald .

Geographical location

The Bruchmühle is on the Modau at the tributary of the right Stettbach below the settlement core of Nieder-Ramstadt .

History and description

The elongated two-storey mill building in the 18th century built plant contributes about a massive ground floor a floor from truss . There is also a barn built from field stones .

The building ensemble is the rest of the former mill. After the mill was shut down, the historical structure was changed somewhat; the ensemble has nevertheless retained the character of an 18th century mill.

Monument protection

Today the mill is purely a residential building. The building is a cultural monument for architectural, industrial, local and economic reasons .
