Bryanston is a district of Sandton in the province of Gauteng in South Africa and part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality . In 2011, the population of Bryanston was 28,758.

Bryanston is in the northern part of Johannesburg . The motorways M1 De Villiers Graaff motorway and N1 Western Bypass touch the district in the east and north.
history
Bryanston was founded in 1969, named after a town of the same name in Dorset , England , and quickly developed into an exclusive residential, business and shopping area.
Demographic data
The population of 15,344 people determined in 2001 is made up as follows: 66.96% white , 30.55% black African , 0.89% colored and 1.60% Asian . The main language at this point was English with 66.85%, followed by isiZulu with 6.42%, Afrikaans with 5.06%, Setswana with 4.87%, Sepedi with 4.55%, isiXhosa with 2.80%, Sesotho with 2.16% and other languages with 7.29%.
