Bryant is a civil parish in Jackson County in the state of Alabama in the United States .
geography
Bryant is located in northeast Alabama in the southern United States, about three miles south of the Tennessee border and two miles west of the Georgia border . The Tennessee River runs five kilometers to the west .
Nearby locations include New Hope (5 km north), Bridgeport (6 km west), South Pittsburg (8 km northwest), Kimball (10 km north), and Trenton (12 km southeast). The next larger city with 168,000 inhabitants is Chattanooga, about 20 kilometers to the northeast .
history
The place was named after WH Bryant, a wealthy early settler. A post office was opened in 1891; this no longer exists in the present.

The place is immediately on Alabama State Route 73 , which merges further north into Tennessee State Route 377 . Interstate 24 and Interstate 59 intersect about 16 kilometers east, and US Highway 72 runs 11 kilometers west .

The 2010 census showed a population of 3582, the population density was 72 people per square kilometer. 95.6% of the population were white, 1.5% Native American and 0.3% black. 1.9% had two or more races , 1.3% were Hispanic or Latin American of any ethnicity.
