The Gmina Brzeźnica is a rural community in the powiat Żagański of the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Briesnitz ) with 874 inhabitants (2008).

The municipality was part of the district of Crossen until 1945 .
