geography
course
The Bubenheimer Bach arises under the name Brücker Bach in a tree-lined green strip next to the former railway line Mayen Ost-Koblenz-Lützel at about 168.8 m above sea level. NHN southwest of Koblenz-Rübenach . The stream flows steadily in north-westerly directions. After a short inflow from Eppertsborns on the left slope, it runs through Rübenach, where there are several mills on its course. Between the sports field and the Wilhelmsmühle, the Anderbach runs to the right. After the lower settlement boundary, there are three more mills, at one of them it runs through a retention basin that is only dammed when needed. Now called Bubenheimer Bach , it runs through the eponymous district of Koblenz-Bubenheim and crosses under the B 9 . Partly open, it flows through the industrial zone in the north of Koblenz and flows into the eastern outskirts of Koblenz-Kesselheim a little west of the Koblenz Rheinhafen exit at less than 60 m above sea level. NHN in the Middle Rhine.
The total course of the Brücker Bach and Bubenheimer Bach is around 8.7 km long, flows around 110 meters below the source and thus has an average bed gradient of around 13 ‰. Its catchment area covers around 16 km², the highest point in it is on the southwestern tip next to the A 48 north of Wolken at about 295 m above sea level. NHN .
