Buengas is a small town ( vila ) in Angola , in southwestern Africa .

Buengas is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Uíge . The district covers an area of 2875 km² and has around 88,403 inhabitants (2011 estimate). From now on, the 2014 census should provide reliable population data.
Three municipalities (Comunas) make up the Buengas district:
- Cuilo Cambozo
- Nova Espença (formerly Buenga Norte)
- Quimbianda (formerly Buenga Sul)
A total of 112 localities are in the district.
