Damba is a small town and county in Angola .
history
Under Portuguese colonial administration , Damba was elevated to a small town ( Vila ) on September 14, 1950 .

Damba is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Uíge . The district has around 185,000 inhabitants (2014 estimate). From now on, the 2014 census should provide reliable population data.
The Damba district is made up of five municipalities (Comunas):
- Camatambo
- Damba
- Lemboa
- Lombe (also N Sosso)
- Pete Cusso (formerly Sacamo)
