Buhlbronn is the smallest district of Schorndorf with around 760 inhabitants . It is located at almost 400 meters above sea level on the mountains .
history
Finds from the Stone Age and parts of water pipes from presumably Roman times indicate that the edge heights of the mountains have been settled for over 3000 years.
Buhlbronn and the associated Metzlinsweiler Hof used to belong to the Adelberg Monastery . This acquired property from Georg von Urbach in 1411 and from Volkhart von Vellberg in 1412 and was the sole landlord on site from 1524. Appears first documented in 1344 in a collection of a Buhlbronn Cannstatter bearing book as one of 16 to Buocher belonging to the parish and the cathedral chapter Konstanz tenth duty places. Until 1819 Buhlbronn was politically assigned to the Steinenberg (Rudersberg) staff of the Adelberg Monastery Office; after that it became independent. The self-administration ended with the incorporation into the city of Schorndorf due to the regional reform with effect from January 1, 1972.
Buhlbronn has been part of Schornbach's church since 1891 (previously Buoch, then from 1450 to Oppelsbohm ), but has had its own Protestant church since 1971. The community was widely known as the center of fruit and berry cultivation. Today the place is known for its scenic location with many vantage points with a view of the Rems and Wieslauftal valleys and as far as the Swabian Alb .
