Bullet is the first EP and overall second release by the American horror punk band The Misfits .
Creation and design
The recordings of the session were to be used for the Static Age album, but this was only released 17 years later. The first 1,000 sound carriers are pressed on black, the 2,000 remaining on red vinyl. Another difference between the two versions is the back: the first pressings had a band photo and Distributed by Ork printed on the back, the second Better Dead on Red
style
Bullet differs fundamentally from the first single, Cough / Cool , in that the electric piano has been replaced by an electric guitar , the recording quality is higher and a generally harder style predominates. In contrast to later publications, the texts are not yet influenced by typical horror themes.

The cover , as well as the text for Bullet , which was written by Danzig in 1974 , go back to the murder of John F. Kennedy . Some former band members, including but not the author, Glenn Danzig, confirm that We Are 138 is based on the film THX 1138 . Hollywood Babylon was probably inspired by the book of the same name written by Kenneth Anger .
