Bunny is an American computer-animated short film directed by Chris Wedge in 1998.

action

An old, widowed rabbit woman prepares a carrot cake . The stove is preheated and she is sifting the flour when a moth, flying constantly against the light bulb, disturbs her work. The moth also bumps into the wedding photo of the rabbit with her husband and is finally carried out of the house by the rabbit woman.

The rabbit woman straightens the wedding photo and becomes melancholy at the sight of the picture. Outside the moth can be heard, which flies against the mosquito screen on the window until the female rabbit slams the window. The rabbit hops laboriously back to the table on her walker and begins to grate the carrots. Suddenly the moth pushes open a casement window and flutters around the apartment. The rabbit hunts the animal, a glass is broken - after a well-aimed blow, the moth ends up in the cake batter, which the rabbit hastily pushes into the oven. Frantically pulling the timer on, is finally exhausted down and falls asleep.

Suddenly blue light comes out of the oven and the oven begins to vibrate until the oven door opens. Inside, the moth hovers and the rabbit crawls into the oven and follows the animal. The oven door slams. The rabbit hovers in the sky, now also provided with wings, towards a glistening light. Numerous moths follow her. The wedding photo in the rabbit woman's apartment comes to life: she looks at him lovingly and hugs him. Two semi-transparent moths merge with the photo and give the hare man and hare woman wings.
