Life

Burak Kut began making music in the school orchestra at Capa elementary school. Later he went to the Şehremini high school, but left it in the second year because the school did not offer music lessons. He applied for the İstanbul Anadolu Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi and was accepted as the best in the exam. Here he learned to play the flute and piano . As a singer in the school choir for his school and for the Kabataş Erkek Lisesi , he also won music competitions for three consecutive years, in which singers such as Mustafa Sandal and Kenan Doğulu were also represented.

After school he signed a contract with Peker Müzik. He released his first album in May 1994 with the name Benimle Oynama / Çılgınım . He was nicknamed "Bebeto" by his fans because he had a very childlike face at the time. The album was sold just under a million times. That year he gave almost 300 concerts. With this album he won several awards in Turkey and also received the " MTV Local Hero" award from the American music broadcaster .

In August 1995 he released his second album. It was named Nereden Geldim, Nerelere Gideceğim . He shot a clip for the title track in London and for the song "Yaşandı Bitti" in New York. The album sold about 300,000 times and could not repeat the success of its predecessor. That year he also sang a duet with singer Sarah Brightman and a 100-man choir.

He is considered a good tenor , which he also proves with the music for the film "Notre Dames Huckback". With Sakis Rouvas from Greece he won the Abdi İpekçi Prize for services to friendship between Greece and Turkey.

In June 1997 he released his third album Kücük Prens with his own record company . It didn't come close to the success of the previous albums. Then he went to the military. In September 2000 he released his fourth album Burak Kut with the Universal record company , in which all the lyrics and the music came from himself. It was more successful than the third album. In his prime he had alcohol problems and an argument with Peker Müzik boss Hakan Peker . In 2007 he hosted a show entitled “Dilimin Ucunda” (“It's on my tongue”) on ATV, where the participants had to continue singing a song that was stopped in the middle with the correct text. He also played in the series "Ask Kapıyı Çalınca" ("When love knocks on the door"), which was broadcast on STAR TV. Since the end of 2009 he has also moderated the show “Hadi Bakalım” (“Let's have a look”) on the TRT Müzik channel.

After seven years he returned in May 2007 with his fifth album Komple with the record company DMC. The sound of the title song comes from the American singer Daddy Yankee .

He also supported the Turkish singer Meyra in her album, which was released on June 22, 2009 under the name Meyra & 4 Tenör (Meyra & 4 Tenoren). He made a duet with her on the song "Karar Bize Ait" ("Our Decision"). It was the first song on the album and the first clip on the album at the same time.

In December 2009 Burak Kut released his sixth album under the name İlaç . It also includes some rock songs again. The first clip was shot for the song "Ben Yokum".
