The castle on deck is the ruin of a Spur castle on a 780.1 m above sea level. NHN high south-eastern mountain spur of 820 m above sea level. NHN high Farrenberg near Talheim , a district of Mössingen in the Tübingen district in Baden-Württemberg .
history
The castle was first mentioned in 1282 in the possession of the Lords of Andeck and described as a ruin in 1624. In 1402, cisterns , two-story buildings and gates were still preserved from the multi-part castle complex . The main castle was separated from the inner, middle and outer outer bailey by ditches. In 1970 the shield wall was uncovered, on the southern side of which the remains of a round tower, probably the keep , can be seen. At the foot of the mountain spur, the Andeckfest of the Talheim local group of the Swabian Alb Association takes place every year on Whit Monday .
