The castle Neideck is a partially preserved Spur castle on 665  m above sea level. NHN over the Untere Argen 2000 meters northeast of the district Christazhofen of the municipality Argenbühl in the district of Ravensburg ( Baden-Württemberg ).

The castle was probably built in the 12th century. In 1217 the rule of the noble free von Neideck is mentioned for the first time. Knight Heinrich von Neideck was in 1239 in the entourage of Count Wolfrad von Veringen at the Leutkirch Treaty between the Isny ​​and Kempten monasteries. In 1293 Heinrich von Neideck was the "district judge on the Leutkircher Heide and zu Wangen".

In 1493 the castle and the manor were sold and in 1780, after several changes of ownership, they were united with the manor Trauchburg .

From the former castle complex on an area of ​​40 by 50 meters, a square palas-like residential building, today in private ownership, with remains of a high medieval castle tower on a floor area of ​​11 by 11 meters has been preserved. The knight's hall and the castle dungeon have been preserved. The castle chapel was demolished in 1884.
