Burghard Rylewicz (born July 18, 1936 , † April 17, 2006 in Wuppertal ) was a German football player . In the 1963/64 season he played eleven games for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga .

Career

VfB Oldenburg

Rylewicz played in the youth of the Hamburg-Eimsbütteler Ballspiel-Club . From 1955 to 1963 he played 93 league games and scored 30 goals at VfB Oldenburg in what was then the first-class soccer Oberliga Nord . He made his debut on the first day of the 1955/56 season on August 28, 1955 in the away game against Göttingen 05 (2: 3) in the Oberliga Nord. In the World Cup system practiced at the time, he played alongside center forward Erich Hänel on half-left. At the end of the round, Oldenburg was relegated to the amateur camp; Rylewicz had scored four goals in 15 games. Four seasons in the Lower Saxony amateur league followed with Oldenburg, before returning to the league after the 1959/60 season. It followed in 1961 and 1962 respectively the 10th places in the final table, before in the last year of the old league, 1962/63, with the 12th place. Rylewicz had played 78 games and scored 26 goals in these three seasons. For the premier season of the Bundesliga, 1963/64, he moved to Borussia Dortmund .

Borussia Dortmund

He made his debut for Borussia Dortmund on the 5th matchday in the away game against Karlsruher SC . On his debut, he marked the interim 0-2 lead (final score 1: 3). In a total of eleven games he scored five goals; when Rylewicz scored, Borussia always won. In the European Champions' Cup , he played for BVB in the games against Lyn Oslo (3: 1) and in the home game against FK Dukla Prague (1: 3) and scored the 1-0 lead. After the season he moved to Wuppertaler SV , with whom he played in the West Regional Football League .

Wuppertal SV

At WSV, Rylewicz excelled on penalties, which he not only converted, but also helped goalkeeper Heinrich Erkens to keep them. Rylewicz kept statistics on where the opposing team's shooters were shooting and reported this to the goalkeeper. With the help of Rylewicz, Erkens was able to keep six out of nine kicked 911s in a season. He was active for Wuppertal until 1966. In his first season he scored six goals in 26 games.

After his time in Wuppertal, Rylewicz became player-coach at RSV 09 Hückeswagen.
