Burghard Freiherr von Cramm (born February 16, 1874 in Nettlingen , † March 17, 1936 in Hanover ) was a German manor owner and court official.

Life

Burghard von Cramm was the son of the manor owner and Duke of Brunswick Chamberlain Edgar Freiherr von Cramm and Anna née. Baroness of Wrede. After attending high school in Braunschweig he studied at the University of Oxford , the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Berlin law . In 1895 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After his doctorate as Dr. jur. and the government trainee exam he became master of Nettlingen , Oelber and Dingelbe . In 1905 he married Jutta Countess von Steinberg-Brüggen, daughter of the manor owner and member of the Prussian manor house Ernst von Steinberg and last name bearer from the Steinberg family (noble family) . After the death of his father-in-law he became master of Bodenburg , Brüggen , Harbarnsen and Wispenstein . Von Cramm was Duke Brunswick Court Squire, later Duke Brunswick Chamberlain and Hereditary Chamberlain of the Duchy of Brunswick . He was a reserve officer in the 1st Guard Uhlan Regiment . He and his wife had seven sons. The third oldest son was tennis player Gottfried von Cramm .
