The Postal fire , even Kemenate called, is an Outbound castle behind the former town hall of the district fire the market Eckental in Erlangen-Höchstadt in Bavaria .
history
The Ortsburg, presumably built around 1200, was first mentioned in 1504 together with the also no longer existing Wasserburg Brand in Brand and was in the changing hands of Nuremberg citizens.
In the Second Margrave War in 1552 the castle was destroyed by a "Sebolt Geiger" and then rebuilt. In 1737 Johann Christoph Gugel renewed the rear gable in sandstone, but in 1778 the castle had already collapsed and was completely demolished in 1801.
The former castle complex had a building with a house , kennel walls, two small corner towers, a Voithaus , barn , shed and two gates.
