Vestenbergsgreuth Castle

Vestenbergsgreuth Castle is a former castle in Vestenbergsgreuth in the Central Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

history

In 1525 it was in 14/15. Buildings built in the 19th century destroyed in the Peasants' War. 1784–1786 a new building was built on the older foundation walls. The manor Vestenbergsgreuth and the surrounding town were owned by the Lords of Vestenberg until 1687, and then by the Holzschuher von Harrlach family since 1756 .

The current building is under monument protection with the number D-5-72-159-4 .

Building description

The castle in Vestenbergsgreuth is a mansard roof building made of sandstone blocks including corner pilasters, labeled "1785".
