The Postal Stoffersberg is an Outbound hilltop castle on 686  m above sea level. NHN at the summit of the Upper Riedberg , formerly called Stoffersberg , in the Oberigling district of the Igling municipality in the Landsberg am Lech district in Bavaria .

The castle was probably built in the 12th century, with tower fragments of a late Roman watchtower or signal tower ( Burgus ) being built in.

The name Stoffersberg refers to the "noble" von Staufen (= Stoffen or Stoffersberg - near Igling), who were the governors of the Welfs from Wessobrunn . In the late Middle Ages, the remains of the castle complex were integrated into buildings in the area, probably also into cellar fragments from Igling Castle .
