Windach Castle

The Windach Castle in Windach , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was built 1610th As Hofmarkschloss it was manor house where the Hofmark Windach. Today the building is the seat of the Windach administrative association . The castle park is freely accessible.

history

The Munich citizen and merchant Franz Füll acquired the Hofmark Windach in 1596 and had a new castle built. The Füll, who were raised to the nobility as barons Füll von Windach in 1610 , were owners of the Hofmark Windach until 1825. They were followed by the von Pfetten (-Füll) family, which went out in 1944 with the death of Lieutenant Karl Ignaz Heinrich Marquard Freiherr von Pfetten.

Building description

The rectangular building, formerly provided with four towers, was raised by one storey in the 19th century and covered with a hipped roof.
