history
The Romanesque church was built in the 12th century. The choir tower and apse as well as the twin windows on the north side of the tower date from this time .
A quality redesign took place in the 18th century. The nave was raised significantly and arched windows were installed. The balustrades of the galleries were painted in a striking way, and the coffered ceiling was painted with bands and tendrils on a yellow and gray-green background . On the north side of the choir is a coat of arms epitaph of the manor owner Hans-Carl von Carlowitz and his wife, a née Seidewitz.
The font is from the 16th century.
Around 1995 the church was extensively renovated.
