Burmester stencil
Burmester stencils are special curve rulers named after the mathematician and inventor of these stencils Ludwig Burmester .
Burmester stencils are z. B. used in technical drawing for the approximately exact representation of curves and curve progressions . In practice, if several stencils or sections of a stencil have to be used, the adjoining sections are drawn in an overlapping manner in order to ensure that the curve drawn is continuous.
Burmester curve sets or curve sets
A Burmester curve set (short: Burmester set ) or Burmester curve set (short: Burmester set ) generally consists of at least three corresponding Burmester templates. They represent third order splines .
Burmester curve sets are still sold today as drawing supplies by companies such as Rheita , Rotring , Rumold , Staedtler , Faber-Castell , Akryla , SIECO , Aristo or Standardgraph .
