Hoischen technical drawing
The Hoischen Technical Drawing is a standard work for all matters of technical drawing . First published in the 1940s , this book explains the basics of technical drawing, the associated standards , examples of drawing creation and applications of descriptive geometry . The book is used across the board in education from schools to engineering studies, but also as a reference work for practitioners. Changes in the standards sector and the increasing CAD creation of technical drawings are taken into account through regular new editions .
Since the death of Hans Hoischen in January 2002, the holder of the professorship for standards and machine drawing / CAD, Wilfried Hesser, of the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg has acted as processor of the Hoischen . The requirements from 2004 onwards were revised and expanded by Andreas Fritz (who works at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences ).
Issues and differences
Over the years, the content of the hoic has changed and adapted to the changed technology of technical drawing. While the 22nd edition from 1988 consisted of a total of 12 sections including the appendix and CAD / CAM was still part of the appendix at that time, from 2005 the editions are divided into 13 sections plus appendix. The 34th edition contains the following sections:
- introduction
- Representation and dimensioning of the base bodies and simple workpieces in accordance with standards , spatial representation
- Views , sections , threads , surface information , reading and understanding drawings
- Standard-compliant dimensions
- Overall drawings, parts lists , title blocks
- Geometrical product specifications , limit dimensions , tolerances , fits and the associated ISO system
- Descriptive geometry
- standardization
- Standard parts and machine elements
- Production- ready design and dimensioning
- Circuit symbols , symbols and circuit diagrams
- CAD / CAM
- Total treatment examples and tests
The 22nd edition of the last section was also part of the appendix.
