Burton Miller
Burton Miller (born January 17, 1926 in Pennsylvania , † March 5, 1982 in Los Angeles ) was an American costume designer who mainly worked for television.
Life
Burton Miller began his career in the early 1960s. He has worked primarily for television, creating the costumes for television series such as Race with Death , Your Appearance, Al Mundy, and The Six Million Dollar Man . He also worked for the film.
In 1977 he and Edith Head created the costumes for the disaster film Lost in the Bermuda Triangle . The two received an Oscar nomination for this at the 1978 Academy Awards . However, the award went to John Mollo for his work on Star Wars .
Burton Miller died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 5, 1982, aged only 56, after recently complaining of nausea. His last work was on the film Two Boiled Out Crooks , which he did not live to see released.
