The BUS Sarganserland Werdenberg AG was in on 4 July 2007 Werdenberg founded and took the timetable change 9 December 2007 to operate on. Originally it was planned that BUS Sarganserland Werdenberg would also serve the lines to the Flumserberge and from Bad Ragaz , but PostBus Eastern Switzerland was commissioned to operate these lines .

The night bus runs once on Saturday and Sunday nights as line 400 (Sargans - Sevelen - Buchs). A surcharge of 5 francs will be charged additionally.
Line 434 Sargans - Mels - Vermol has not operated since October 20, 2013. The tourist-oriented line was discontinued due to insufficient demand.

Vehicle fleet
BUS Sarganserland Werdenberg mainly relied on the MAN brand : The fleet consists of 9 midibuses type Lion's City A66, 3 midibuses type Lion's City A47 and 7 standard buses type Lion's City A20. An Iveco Daily 4 × 4 is used on line 443 Walenstadt – Walenstadtberg . A Mercedes-Benz City Sprinter was added in 2008 . In 2009 a Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated bus was added. However, this was given to RTB Rheintal Bus . In return, BUS Sarganserland Werdenberg received a MAN Lion's City articulated bus from RTB Rheintal Bus . Since BSW actually has too few vehicles, RTB buses also run regularly on lines 400, 410 and 411, and occasionally on lines 429/430.
A Kutsenits brand RTB bus is currently in operation in the Walenstadt region, mostly on line 444.
