Busem Şeker (born July 19, 1998 in Hamburg ) is a German - Turkish soccer player . She is currently under contract with Hamburger SV .

Career

society

Şeker, the daughter of a seamstress and a truck driver, began her football career at the age of four at FTSV Lorbeer Rothenburgsort before moving to ASV Bergedorf 85 in 2015 . In 2016 she received a contract with the second division club SV Henstedt-Ulzburg , for which she completed 15 league games in which she scored a goal in the following two years. In 2018, Şeker moved to Turkey to Konak Belediyespor , where she played a total of 16 games in the Kadınlar 1. Ligi until 2019.

For the 2019/20 season, a change to regional league club RB Leipzig was announced. But this did not come about. She then signed with Hamburger SV .

National team

Since 2017, after being appointed to the national team by VfL Wolfsburg on the initiative of Çağla Korkmaz , Şeker has played a total of 12 games for the Turkish national soccer team . She made her debut at the Goldcity Women's Cup 2017 on March 1, 2017. In qualifying for the 2019 Women's World Cup , she played three games for Turkey, including against Luxembourg for the first time in the starting line-up and over the full game distance.

In addition to football, Şeker also worked in the hospitality industry.
