Butch Kellem
William "Butch" Kellem (born October 4, 1944 in Philadelphia ) is an American jazz and entertainment musician ( trombone , vocals , also keyboard ).
Act
Kellem started playing the trombone in school. After his military service in the US Army, he stayed in Europe, where he toured with Sam & Dave , Aretha Franklin and Ike & Tina Turner . He then belonged to Max Greger's orchestra before joining the ORF Big Band in 1972 . After their dissolution in 1974, he was a member of the show band of Ambros Seelos and the big band of André Carol. He also appears with Pit Müller's Hot Stuff , with the big band of Dusko Goykovich , with Pete York and with his own formations. He can also be heard on recordings with Leszek Zadlo and the Cotton Field Blues Band .
