Cándido Genaro Rubiolo

Cándido Genaro Rubiolo (born September 19, 1920 in Devoto ; † February 9, 2004 ) was Archbishop of Mendoza .

Life

Cándido Genaro Rubiolo was ordained a priest on September 22, 1945 .

Paul VI appointed him on September 4, 1974 auxiliary bishop in Córdoba and titular bishop of Aquae in Mauretania . The Archbishop of Cordoba , Raúl Francisco Cardinal Primatesta , consecrated him bishop on November 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Blas Victorio Conrero , Archbishop of Tucumán , and Agustín Adolfo Herrera , Bishop of San Francisco .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Villa María on April 15, 1977, and he was instituted on July 13 of the same year. He was appointed Archbishop of Mendoza on October 11, 1979, and took office on November 23 of the same year. On March 25, 1996, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
