César Mervin Marcano Sánchez (born October 22, 1987 in Bejuma ) is a Venezuelan track cyclist .

In 2010 César Marcano finished second in the team sprint at the Pan American Cycling Championships , together with Hersony Canelón and Ángel Pulgar . In the same line-up, the Venezuelans achieved third place at the track cycling World Cup 2011/2012 in Cali , as well as at the Pan American Championships in 2012. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , the trio Canelon, Pulgar and Marcano finished ninth in the team sprint.

In 2013 Marcano won the gold medal in the team sprint at the Pan American Championships in Aguascalientes , together with Hersony Canelón and Ángel Pulgar . The following year, the three athletes won the team sprint competitions at the Pan-American Championships, the Central American and Caribbean Games and the South American Games . The following year they were again Pan American champions.

In 2016 Marcano was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he finished eighth in the team sprint together with Canelón and Pulgar.
