Regarding the flag of the Unna district, the main statute states:
	"The circle has a growing red lion on a golden field over a red-silver (in three rows) carved shield base as a coat of arms." [...] "The circle carries the following flag: The circle carries a flag with the basic colors red and white and the circle coat of arms . "

Bonen			The municipality of Bönen was granted the right to use a coat of arms, a seal and a flag in a certificate from the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia dated April 18, 1969. Description of the coat of arms: The municipal coat of arms shows in a white field a hanging red chain with four intertwined smaller links and two larger links that open up and down. Flag description: The flag is red and white striped lengthways in two strips and shows the municipal coat of arms in the middle.
Fröndenberg / Ruhr			The city of Fröndenberg was granted the right to carry a coat of arms and a flag by a certificate from the Minister of the Interior of the State of NW dated March 10, 1949. Description of the coat of arms: The coat of arms of the city shows the bust of Saint Mauritius, the patron saint of the collegiate church Fröndenberg, growing in a golden field above a bar in three rows of red and silver. Description of the flag: Red and white with the city arms.
Holzwickede			The municipality of Holzwickede was granted the right to use a coat of arms, a flag and a banner with a certificate from the District President of the Arnsberg District on October 7, 1971. Description of the coat of arms: In gold (yellow) over three rows of red-silver (white) nested shield base a nine-leaf green oak. Description of the flag: The flag (hoist flag) is striped lengthways in two strips of equal width, red and white, and shows the municipality's coat of arms in the middle. Description of the banner: The banner is striped lengthways in two red and white strips of equal width and shows the coat of arms of the municipality in the middle of the upper half.
Came			The coat of arms of the city of Kamen contains the Brandenburg chess bar in the golden shield. This consists of three horizontal, red-silver cross bars of seven fields each. There is a red comb wheel above it. [...] The city flag contains the city arms; their colors are blue and white.
Luenen			The city's coat of arms shows a right-leaping red lion in a golden field, whose tail ends in two tufts. The flag of the city contains the colors red (above) and yellow (below) in two stripes of the same width.
Swords			The city was granted the right to use a coat of arms with a certificate from the District President in Arnsberg dated February 18, 1977. Description of the coat of arms: In red two obliquely crossed overturned silver swords, crossed swords left over right. The city was also granted the right to fly a flag with a certificate from the District President in Arnsberg dated February 18, 1977. Unna			The district town of Unna bears the coat of arms approved by the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia on November 13, 1967. In silver (white) a red city fortification, the central gate tower with a pointed roof is connected laterally by walls and covered battlements with two lower crenellated towers; the upper floor of the gate tower is equipped on both sides with a flag hoisted on a red pole, which shows a bar in gold (yellow) arranged in three rows of four red-silver (white) columns. The flag of the county seat shows the colors red and white. It can contain the city arms.
Werne			The city of Werne has a coat of arms, a flag and a seal. The city coat of arms depicts St. Christophorus with the baby Jesus on his left shoulder, holding the oak trunk in his right hand, in front of him the shield of the city of Werne with a red bar on a golden field. The flag of the city of Werne shows the colors gold and red.
