Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe			The Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association continues the colors that the Prussian Province of Westphalia officially adopted on October 22, 1882: “The colors of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association are white-red. The Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe has a coat of arms that shows a soaring silver horse in the red field. ”[…] “ The flag consists of two horizontal stripes of equal width, white above and red below. The coat of arms of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe, framed in a black border, is placed in the middle. The banner and the hoist flag consist of two equal vertical stripes, white and red. " The district of Borken carried a different flag from May 14, 1979 to November 27, 1987.
Coesfeld district			Coat of arms and flag approved by the RP Münster on October 15, 1979: “The circle has the following coat of arms : split from yellow to red; in front in the upper third a red bar, beneath it a red bell, behind a standing, yellow clad blessing bishop, at his feet a yellow goose. ”'[…] “ The circle carries a flag and a banner with the colors yellow and red; they show the coat of arms of the Coesfeld district. "
District of Düren			Approved by the Cologne RP on October 27, 1972: "The circle has the following coat of arms : The shield, divided by gold (= yellow) and blue, shows a growing black lion with a red tongue at the top, a silver (= white) sheet of paper with a black D (for Düren) on top." Gütersloh district			Approved by RP Detmold on September 12, 1974: “(1) The district of Gütersloh has the following coat of arms : In the divided shield above in silver (white) 3 red rafters, covered with a golden (yellow) shield with a red six-spoke wheel, below in red a golden (yellow) eagle. (2) The district of Gütersloh has the district coat of arms in its official seal, in its banner and in its flag. "
District of Heinsberg			Coat of arms and flag approved by the RP Cologne on September 3, 1973: “ Description of coat of arms : Divided and split above. Above: in front in red a crowned, two-tailed, silver (white) lion; behind in gold (yellow) a black lion. Below: in silver (white) a free-floating, lying, red lily cross, covered with a five-petalled blue flax blossom. Upper third: split; in front a crowned, silver (white lion) with two tails in red; behind in gold (yellow) a black lion. Herford district			Approved January 5, 1970: "The coat of arms shows a black, jumping horse (black stallion with a curved tail) in a silver field." [...] "The flag shows the coat of arms of the Herford district."
Hochsauerlandkreis			Coat of arms and flag for the district of Arnsberg approved by the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia on October 31, 1963, for the Hochsauerland district confirmed by RP Arnsberg on October 31, 1975: "The Hochsauerlandkreis has the following coat of arms : In red a silver (white), right-facing eagle with an inlaid silver (white) heart shield, covered with a continuous black cross." [...] “The Hochsauerlandkreis carries a flag as a banner and hoist flag. The hoist flag shows the coat of arms of the district on a white track accompanied by two red vertical stripes in a ratio of 1: 3: 1. The banner shows the coat of arms of the circle on a white strip bordered by two red side stripes in a ratio of 1: 3: 1, pushed up over the middle. "
District of Höxter:			Coat of arms and flag approved by the Detmold RP on February 12, 1976: “The circle has the following coat of arms : In silver (white) a blue lily; above it in a golden (yellow) shield head, bounded by a blue wavy bar, a red continuous cross. Kleve district	according to the main statute no flag		"Section 2 of the main statutes of the Kleve district only mentions coats of arms and official seals."
Circle lip			Coat of arms and flag approved by the Detmold RP on July 17, 1973: "The circle has the following coat of arms : In silver (white) a red five-petalled rose with golden (yellow) clusters and golden (yellow) sepals." [...] "The circle carries a flag with the colors yellow and red, striped lengthways, with the circular coat of arms shifted to the pole and a banner with the colors yellow and red, striped lengthways with the circle coat of arms in the upper half."
Märkischer Kreis			Coat of arms and flag approved by RP Arnsberg on May 6, 1976: "The coat of arms of the Märkischer Kreis shows, divided by a three-rowed red-white (silver) bar, a black, red-armored lion growing in yellow (gold) above, a continuous black cross in white (silver) below." [..] "The flag of the Märkisches Kreis is striped lengthways from yellow to red to yellow in a ratio of 1: 3: 1 and shows the coat of arms of the circle in the middle of the red line."
District of Mettmann (until 1974 District of Düsseldorf-Mettmann )			Approved by the RP Düsseldorf on September 20, 1986: "The circle has the following coat of arms : In a silver shield a blue-armored and blue-crowned double-tailed red lion, all within a black shield border, which is curved inwards in the upper right corner, there with a silver padlock and in the lower left arch after the figure with a golden ear is occupied. An illustration is attached (Annex 2). ” (Approved by the Prussian State Ministry for the Düsseldorf-Mettmann district at that time on November 28, 1936, continued after the renaming of the Mettmann district) [...] “The circle carries the following flag: White flag cloth in the ratio of length to height as 2: 1 with red vertical stripes on the upper and lower edge and in the middle in the proportions 2: 5: 2: 5: 2, on the mast side covered with the Coat of arms of the Mettmann district. Kreis Minden-Lübbecke			Approved by RP Detmold on September 11, 1973: "The circle has the following coat of arms : In the split shield in front in red 2 silver (white) diagonally crossed keys with turned beards, in the back in silver (white) 3 red rafters." (Approved on September 11, 1973) [...] "The circle leads a red and white striped banner with the coat of arms of the circle in the middle of the upper half." "The circle carries a red and white longitudinally striped flag with the circle's coat of arms shifted from the center to the pole."
Oberbergischer Kreis			Approved by the Cologne RP on February 10, 1976: “With the approval of the District President in Cologne on February 10, 1976, the Oberbergische Kreis has a seal, a coat of arms, a flag and a banner. Seal, coat of arms, flag and banner according to the illustrations listed in the appendix. " “The coat of arms of the circle shows a bar cut in three rows in red and silver, split from red to silver, under the golden head of the shield. In front a silver castle with a high three-lined right and a lower two-lined left pinnacle tower, flanking a pointed gable house with an open red gate and black gable window. Behind a two-tailed blue crowned, blue tongued and blue armored red lion. "
District of Olpe			Approved by the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia on January 10, 1955: “The circle has the following coat of arms : In a split shield in front in a silver field a continuous black cross, in the back in the gold field two red bars. A representation is attached as an attachment ( attachment ). " (Approved on October 12, 1949) [...] “The circle carries a flag with the colors red and white; it shows the coat of arms of the district of Olpe. "
Paderborn district			Coat of arms and flag approved by the Detmold RP on July 15, 1975: “The circle leads the coat of arms shown in Appendix 1 . The red cross in the head of the shield on a silver background indicates that the circle belonged to the former Paderborn monastery. The blue wave bar symbolizes the wealth of water in the circle. The red, seven-part diamond chevron in the silver shield reminds of the noble lords of Büren. Recklinghausen district	according to the main statute no hoisting flag		Approved by the NW Interior Minister on October 31, 1957: “The banner of the Recklinghausen district is (from heraldic right to heraldic left) black-white-green. It bears the coat of arms of the Recklinghausen district in the middle of the flag track . The coat of arms consists of a silver nettle leaf on a green shield and a black, isosceles cross with a gold key in the middle. ” (Coat of arms approved by the Interior Minister of NW on June 30, 1952)
Rhein-Erft district			Approved by the Cologne RP on April 20, 1976: "The circle has the following coat of arms : Under a green shield head, inside a silver (white) wavy bar, split in front in gold (yellow) a red-armored and red-tongued black lion, behind in silver (white) a continuous black cross." [...] "The The circle carries a flag as a hoist flag in the colors black-yellow-black in a ratio of 1: 4: 1 with longitudinal stripes and with the circle's coat of arms aligned to the pole on the middle panel in the front half. "
Rhein-Kreis Neuss (until 1974 Grevenbroich district)			Approved by the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia on December 10, 1952: “The circle has the following coat of arms : In the split shield in front a black cross in silver, behind a black, red-tongued lion in gold. (Award certificate of the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia dated May 2nd, 1952.) “ ¹ […] “The circle carries the following flag: The circle coat of arms on a white background, the two long sides of which are delimited by narrow black stripes. Rhein-Sieg district			Approved August 1, 1969: “The district bears the coat of arms awarded to it by the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia with a certificate dated May 26, 1955 . In a silver shield it shows a blue-crowned and blue-armored, two-tailed red lion, who rests with his left paw on a silver shield with a black cross, with his right swinging a golden sword of flames over his head. Kreis Siegen-Wittgenstein	according to the main statute no hoisting flag		Approved October 1, 1999: “The circle bears the following coat of arms : split from white (silver) and blue, in front two black posts, behind on 7 yellow (gold) longitudinal clapboards a yellow (gold) red-armored lion, in the yellow (gold) shield base in front a blue inclined knife , behind the handle of the knife a blue, red burning miner's lamp. Soest district			Coat of arms and flag approved by RP Arnsberg on May 26, 1976: "The coat of arms of the district of Soest shows on a white field in a split shield in front the vertical red Soest key and behind the continuous black cross of Kurköln, adorned by the red, five-petalled Lipperose with golden clusters and golden sepals." "The circle carries the following flag: In the middle of a white, with two red side stripes in a ratio of 1: 3: 1 accompanying the circle's coat of arms."
Steinfurt district			Approved by the RP Münster on March 10, 1978: "The district of Steinfurt has the following coat of arms : In yellow a broad red bar, on it a yellow shield covered with a red swan, above in yellow two red lily pads, below in yellow a red lily pad." [...] “The circle carries a flag with the colors yellow-red-yellow (ratio 1: 3: 1) striped lengthways; it shows the coat of arms of the circle in the middle of the red track. "
Unna district			Approved ????: "As a coat of arms, the circle has a growing red lion on a golden field above a red-silver (in three rows) carved shield base." District of Viersen			Approved by the RP Düsseldorf on October 16, 1980: “The circle has the following coat of arms : Under a silver shield head, in which a continuous black cross (Kur-Köln) split from gold and blue; in front a left-facing black lion with a red tongue (Jülich), behind a double-tailed golden lion facing right, armored in red (Geldern). A representation is attached.
