C418 , actually Daniel Rosenfeld (born May 9, 1989 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German musician. He became famous for his music for the game Minecraft and the theme music for Beyond Stranger Things .

Life

Daniel Rosenfeld was born in 1989 to Russian-German parents in the GDR . Through his brother he came into contact with computers and creating music at the age of 5. At the age of 16 he began to create his first pieces of music with the software Ableton Live . When he started working on Minecraft music, he quit his assembly line job to become a full-time composer. He released the first Minecraft album while he was doing alternative service . He lives alternately in Berlin and Toronto .

Minecraft

Daniel Rosenfeld was involved in the development of Minecraft from an early age by Markus Persson . He composes the music and designed some of the sound effects for the game. But he was never part of the Mojang company , which is responsible for the development of Minecraft. In 2011 and 2013 he released the soundtrack albums Minecraft - Volume Alpha and Minecraft - Volume Beta , which contain the Minecraft soundtracks and some bonus tracks.
