CIV was a band from New York .

history

The band is named after their singer Anthony Civarelli. Two members of the band (Civarelli and Smilios) were members of the Gorilla Biscuits . Band member Siegler previously played in various other hardcore bands, including a. Youth of Today and Judge .

After breaking up with Gorilla Biscuits, Civarelli opened a tattoo studio on Long Island . After the band Quicksand had signed a major label contract, Schreifels reunited the last members of his previous band and recorded an album with them, where he also acted as producer. The result was Set Your Goals . With the second album Thirteen Day Getaway , Schreifels was no longer there. After Thirteen Day Getaway was released, CIV disbanded in 2000.

In 2008, 2011 and 2012 the band got together again for individual concerts, including a performance at the Belgian Groezrock Festival.

A music video was released for the band's best-known single, Can't Wait One Minute More . The piece was used in a 2005 commercial for Nissan . Lou Koller from the band Sick of It All was a guest singer in the piece. Songs like All Twisted , Haven't Been Myself in a While , and Something Special were featured on the TV show What's New, Scooby-Doo? used.
