Cai von Bülow

Cai Friedrich Gustav von Bülow (born August 23, 1851 in Hamburg ; † February 26, 1910 at Gut Bothkamp , Plön district , Ostholstein ) was a squire and royal Prussian district administrator in the Eckernförde district .

Life

origin

He came from the Mecklenburg primeval noble family von Bülow and was the son of the landlord and grand ducal Mecklenburg-Schwerin chamberlain Friedrich von Bülow (1817-1893), Fideikommissherr on the estates Bothkamp with Schönhagen, Bokhorst, Altenrade and Bossee (all in Holstein ), and the Thekla Countess Holstein (1819–1903). His brother Detlev Wilhelm Theodor (1854–1926) became the Upper President of the Province of Schleswig-Holstein.

Career

Bülow studied law in Leipzig, Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Göttingen. In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Vandalia in 1873 . In 1877 he passed the trainee exam in Celle. In 1883 he became district administrator in the Eckernförde district. From 1892 he was entrant at Gut Bothkamp. He retired from civil service in 1896 and devoted himself to the management of his estate. He was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1886 to 1906 , elected in the Eckernförde constituency. Only in the year of his death, 1910, was he a member of the Prussian manor house .

Bülow married on July 13, 1883 at Gut Waterneverstorf near Behrensdorf (Baltic Sea) (Plön district, Ostholstein) Elisabeth Countess Holstein (born March 14, 1854 at Gut Waterneverstorf; † November 16, 1939 at Gut Bothkamp), the daughter of the landowner Conrad Graf Holstein , landlord on the Waterneverstorf and Gaartz estates, and Baron Caroline von Heintze .
