Calvin Jong-a-Pin (born July 18, 1986 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player . The defender is under contract with Shimizu S-Pulse in the J. League Division 1 .
Career
society
Jong-a-Pins career started at FC Volendam, where he was part of the professional squad from the 2005/06 season. In the Eerste Divisie , the second highest Dutch league, he made his professional debut. After only a year he decided to move to the Eredivisie . In the summer of 2006, Jong-a-Pin moved to SC Heerenveen . After he had only nine missions in his first year for the blue-whites , these increased in the following season, so that he came to regular match practice. He won the Dutch Cup with Heerenveen in 2009 . The following season it was awarded to Vitesse Arnhem . After his return, the left full-back became a regular in the sc Heerenveen team in the 2010/11 season .
In August 2011 he moved to Shimizu S-Pulse in the J. League Division 1 .
National team
He was nominated for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2007 by the U-21 coach , Foppe de Haan . He came to three missions. In the preliminary round match against Portugal he was in the starting line-up. The team advanced to the final. There he was only substituted on shortly before the end. For the 2008 Summer Olympics , he was appointed to the squad of the Netherlands , where he was used in every game.
