Calystegia hederacea is a kind ofplantfrom the genus of the bindweed ( Calystegia ) from the family of the bindweed family (Convolvulaceae). The species is common in Asia .
description
Calystegia hederacea is a hairless bindweed. The stems grow upright at first, older stems are prostrate to twining and can be up to 1 m long. The leaves are stalked with a 1 to 5 cm long petiole . The leaf blade is spear-shaped, triangular or narrowly triangular, it is 2 to 8 cm long and 2 to 7 cm wide, including the lobes. The lobes are abruptly protruding, provided with two (rarely three) acute angles, they form an arch with diverging sides.
The inflorescence stalks of the lower inflorescences protrude beyond the surrounding leaves, the upper ones are shorter. The before leaves are more or less ovate, 0.7 to 1.4 (rarely to 1.8) cm long and 6 to 10 (rarely 4 to 12) mm wide. They are flat and pointed to blunt towards the front. The crown is 2 to 3.5 cm long, pale pink or rarely white or purple. The stamens are 1.1 to 1.6 (rarely up to 1.9) mm long, the anthers are 3 to 4 mm long.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 22.
distribution
The species is common in China , Afghanistan , India , Japan , Korea , Malaysia , Mongolia , Myanmar , Nepal , Pakistan , Russia and Tajikistan . It may have been introduced in Africa and North America. It grows in fields, rubble, on roadsides and river banks, often on sandy soils at altitudes between 100 and 3500 m.

Two varieties can be distinguished:
- Calystegia hederacea var. Hederacea
- Calystegia hederacea var. Longipedicellata Bhellum & Magotra : This variety was first described in 2011; it occurs in the western Himalayas.
