Camilla Alexandrine Kristine von Rosenborg (born October 29, 1972 in Frederikssund ) is a Danish noblewoman who is known to a broad public in Denmark because of her kinship with the Danish royal family and through interviews and appearances on television.

Origin and family

Camilla von Rosenborg is the daughter of Count Christian von Rosenborg and Countess Anne Dorte von Rosenborg . Through her father, she is a great-granddaughter of King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine of Denmark, a great-granddaughter of Prince Harald and Princess Helena of Denmark, a granddaughter of Hereditary Prince Knut and Hereditary Princess Caroline Mathilde of Denmark, and a 2nd cousin of the Danish Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark . Through her marriage to the commoner Mikael Rosanes (* 1952) in 1995, she lost her title of Countess , but she kept her surname "von Rosenborg" (Danish af Rosenborg ). Camilla von Rosenborg grew up with her twin sister Josephine and her younger sister Feodora in the villa of her great-grandmother Princess Helena in the elegant Copenhagen suburb of Holte (today Rudersdal Kommune ). Since Camilla von Rosenborg is a descendant of King George II of England through her paternal grandmother, Hereditary Princess Caroline Mathilde, she is included in the English line of succession. She is not on the list of the Danish heir to the throne because her father has lost his place in the Danish line of succession due to improper marriage .

  • Anastasia Caroline Amalie af Rosenborg (* 1997)
  • Ludwig Christian Mikael af Rosenborg (* 2000)
