Canal + Premium is the first pay-TV broadcaster in Poland to be part of the French company Canal + . The broadcaster began broadcasting on December 2, 1994. The broadcaster mainly broadcasts premieres of films, series and documentaries, as well as sports broadcasts. Sister channels are Canal + Discovery HD, Canal + Film HD , Canal + Family HD, Canal + Seriale HD, Canal + Sport HD and Canal + Sport 2 HD. Canal + has co-produced Polish films and sponsored the Polish Football League since the station started broadcasting. There is also a timeshift version of the channel, Canal + 1 HD.
