The Canal Misionero ( Spanish for Missionary Canal ) is a strait in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Melchior Islands , it separates the Kappa Island in the north from the Gamma Island in the south. The canal connects Melchior Harbor on the strait The Sound between the Western and Eastern Melchior Islands with Dallmann Bay .

Chilean scientists named him in 1955 after the missionaries who worked in South America .
